Here is the full version of SIGHT & SOUND Episode 3 – The Nikhil Korula Band with Dr Fink from Prince’s band, The Revolution. In all these performances, we play some original songs from THE WAY THINGS WORK (2004) & MUSIC OF THE NEW DAY (2012) and also cover Prince’s classic songs, “Baby I’m A Star” and a solo piano version of “Purple Rain” on the very piano and microphone Prince used for the PURPLE RAIN album in the very studio and room he recorded in as well at Sunset Sound in Studio 3 aka “The Prince Room.” We also covered Bo Diddley’s “Before You Accuse Me” because how many times in your life do you get to jam on a Bo Diddley tune with Dr Fink. Matt Fink aka Dr Fink has been in Prince’s bands, The Revolution and The New Power Generation and the amount of inspiration he has given to so many musicians is immeasurable. This experience was one for the books and something I won’t soon forget. Thank you, Dr Fink, for being so wonderfully gracious to work with and to also interview.
